God’s people have always been characterized by giving, both of their talents and their resources. However, the way God’s people have given has changed over time. People no longer give goats, sheep, calves and grain like in the Old Testament because Jesus made the perfect sacrifice. Now we have the opportunity to give back to the LORD from the blessings He has given us.
At FBC, giving can be done through the Sunday Offering or through a new means of giving financially through the church website. This system makes it simple and easy to transfer financial resources from a bank account or card directly to the church budget for ministry purposes. This can be done with a one time gift or recurring gifts on a regular basis.
At FBC, we’ll continue to allow people to give their offerings and support the ministry through the Sunday Offering during the Worship service by cash or check. For members who would rather transfer money electronically, the ability to give through the church website is both a safe and secure option.
Giving is an important aspect of the Christian life…and a tremendous step of faith! After all, Luke records that Jesus himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). At FBC-Madill, we encourage all members to pray about giving and give as God leads them. Feel free to set up an account and make an offering, or contact the church for help with giving through the site.
